Types of Gypsum
- Natural Gypsum: Often found with salt rocks, it takes a flat shape. This type can appear as fibrous masses that adhere to clay or sandstone. Some types include selenite, which represents fine-grained sedimentary deposits, and balanced fibers, which are masses with numerous fissures. There is also rock gypsum, which is solid and compact, as well as marble gypsum, which consists of fine-grained masses.

Forms of Gypsum
- Crystalline Form: This form is known for its transparency and resembles a parallelepiped. Selenite is one of the most famous examples.

- Fibrous Form: Distinguished by its remarkable luster, it is used in jewelry making. Satin spar is one of the most important examples.
